OTHER INTERESTS
Ukrainian League of Philadelphia - President 2006, 2007, 2008
Board of Directors 2003-2005
- The Ukrainian League of Philadelphia was founded in 1917 to serve as a social and cultural club for Ukrainian immigrants. In 2017 its members celebrated the League’s 100th anniversary, marking its unique role in preserving Ukrainian culture and offering a Philadelphia based forum for cultivating the social consciousness of Ukrainian Americans. As the League passes this significant milestone, it remains committed to its civic role as a place of community for Ukrainians and their neighbors in the greater Philadelphia region. During my tenure as president, membership rose to 1,000 members, with cultural programming at its’ peak in 50 years.
